The first edition of a pamphlet detailing and explaining a complete card act designed by Edgar Joseph 'Joe' Stuthard (1911-1992), magician, entertainer, and magic inventor, famed for his talents with a Svengali deck. The manual, structured carefully to introduce the amateur sleight-of-hand student to Stuthard's specially engineered 'Trilby' deck, was clearly successful, being revised the following year and reprinted in a further edition in 1953.
