Edward Sims (b. 1923) is an American WWII fighter pilot, journalist and author, who published six books on Second World War Fighter Aces For this work, Sims interviewed four RAF, one American, and three Luftwaffe pilots on their most enthralling mission, and latterly spent several years studying both the official combat records and previously unexamined resources to produce these fascinating and accurate accounts.
