Upper hinge exposed, early inked ownership inscription to FEP, FFEP and frontispiece working loose, long vertical tear to leaf G5 (without loss).

A popular early nineteenth century conduct of life tale, commonly attributed to Elizabeth Kilner, initially published by Tabart around 1802. The Juvenile Review (1817) said of the work: 'Results of improper curiosity are illustrated in a lively and pleasing manner in this little book, which we strongly recommend'.
